ILLINOIS VALLEY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL

Company Overview

Illinois Valley Community Hospital (IVCH) is a 64-bed full-service acute care hospital located in Peru about 100 miles southwest of Chicago near the intersection of Interstates 80 and 39.

IVCH is an independent not-for-profit hospital governed by a volunteer board of directors. Our mission statement affirms our promise to our patients to provide exceptional care through a commitment to clinical excellence and compassion for every patient, every day. Our goal, as expressed in our vision statement, is to be known as the hospital where patients want to receive care, physicians want to practice and employees want to work.

IVCH is the recipient of an award from Healthgrades for ranking among the top 5% of hospitals nationwide for exemplary service to patients in 2012. Healthgrades has also recognized IVCH as one of the top hospitals in Illinois for orthopedic services. A leading consumer magazine ranked IVCH second in the State for patient safety in 2012.

In the forefront of bringing modern medical care to the LaSalle-Peru-Oglesby-Utica area, IVCH opened a spacious new obstetrics unit in 2011. IVCH was the first hospital in the area to open a walk-in retail health clinic (at the Peru Walmart) in 2010 followed by the opening of an urgent care center (IVCH CareToday next to the Illinois Valley YMCA in Peru) in 2011. The hospital's emergency department is the largest in the Illinois Valley.
