Physician Assistant Specialists-California (aka PASCAL) is a unique PA owned corporation. Currently with 5 full time partners, we provide first and second assist services for Cardiothoracic surgical programs through out the greater Los Angeles and Orange Counties.
Company History
Originating in 2013, our group began with three Cardiothoracic surgery trained PAs leaving our full time jobs. Through networking and strong relationships with our surgeons. We created independent contractor relationships with each customer. Our practice bills the surgeons or hospitals directly for our services thus eliminating the headaches involved with insurance billing.
Our company has since grown to 5 full time PAs serving more that 15 hospitals.
Benefits
As a partner with PASCAL, you have the unique opportunity to essentially "be your own boss. " We own and operate this company. You may personally tailor your benefits package allowing you to maximize tax deductions. We will guide you through the process of setting up retirement accounts, incorporating, purchasing medical insurance etc.
There are call requirements. Usually 1 week, every 5th week for emergency surgery only. There is some need for coverage of extra weekend cases as well, on a voluntary basis.
There is NO clinic, rounding, pre-op or post-op. This position is for surgical assisting only.
